Let’s start by melting old candles or you can also reuse wax from used candles throw all the wax in a metal container and start melting it on a low heat.
Once you reach the temperature to 85℃ turn off the flame and wait till it cool down to 64℃.
Start adding 30-40 drops of you favorite scented oils the one I have used is from Sainsbury. They have variety of scents which is handy enough when you are planning to kick start your candle making project.

After adding your favorite scent, leave it to cool the wax to 57℃ and pour into a jar.
This is the part I find the most satisfying, unlike the traditional candle maker I like to use chopsticks instead of metal wick holder. Feel free to use the traditional method f you more comfortable with it.

Now I will use the melted wax instead of glue to stick the wick to the bottom of the jar. You will need to dip only the metal part of the wick and stick it to the bottom of the jar while the wax is still stick (Hot) texture.
Once the wick is stick at the bottom will use the chopstick to keep it in place.
It time to pour!
Carefully pour the melted wax once it’s reached to 57℃ into a jar or a tea cup and leave it to cool for 90 minutes in the fridge.
Make sure to wash your hand properly. Once you are finished making your candles its time to enjoy your nice smelling house.
